Building Community
In our neighborhoods and to the ends of the earth.

“The one who points the way to good deeds is like the one who does them.”

We encourage you to support the following organizations as part and parcel of building a community
Green Mosque in the South
So many people, companies and organizations are constantly preaching about green, clean and renewable energy, yet very few take the initiative of making a change. Our story is different.

One Step Closer To A Better Future

We seek to be the change that will change the world, one step at a time. In fact, we recently managed to secure the funds for a 34,000 sq ft building in Memphis, Tennessee but unfortunately, the building itself suffered massive vandalism with the majority of the plumbing, electrical and heat/air conditioning either stolen or destroyed. Instead of seeing this as a glass half-empty, we decided to think about it as an opportunity, a second chance to make a change. That’s why, instead of simply replacing the stolen or destroyed equipment, we would like to make the entire facility entirely based on renewable energy; a “Green Mosque” if you will. This facility rests on 4.8 acres of land and it’s more than enough to incorporate a farmer’s market, a low power radio station, a soup kitchen, a daycare center and a community center. Our plan is to create a farmer’s market that will house 12 farmers and 200 members, and a community center where your questions and issues will be addressed and your voice will be heard. Moreover, with our low-power radio station, we will be able to deliver a meaningful message and have an immediate impact in the local community, making it a better place to live and thrive. In times where commercial radio and the media in general, have created an information vacuum due to dwindling local news, culture and public affairs programming, we are sure you’d agree that our community is in great need of rapid access to trustworthy local information.

However, making this dream a reality requires your help and support! By supporting our $1.25 million project, you will automatically become a valuable member of our community and most importantly, a supporter of green and clean energy. And if you can’t donate right now, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends and family and on your social media.Rest assured, every and any support, does matter!

Let’s take a huge step into a better future and a better community…together!

We thank you for your time and support.

Whitehaven is the largest neighborhood in South Memphis and is roughly bounded by Winchester Road on the north and the Mississippi state line on the south, with the Illinois Central Railroad on the west and Airways Boulevard on the east. Whitehaven is a predominantly African-American community with a current population of about 50,000.

MDA is in the process of purchasing a nexus of buildings in Whitehaven with the stated purpose of establishing a modern day kulliye for the benefit of the residents in the vicinity and throughout the city.

Islamic Medicinal Advises
You’ll have to know that the origin of all maladies goes back to nutrition, as the Prophet Muhammad – God bless him! – says with regard to the entire medical tradition, as commonly known by all physicians… These are his words: “The stomach is the House of Illness, and abstinence is the most important medicine. The cause of every illness is a poor digestion.

Ibn Khaldūn, Muqaddima, V, 18

Training
Our Roots
We have been located in the Oakhaven and Whitehaven communities for over 15 years. We have provided ESL classes, lectures/classes about the Islamic faith, African American history and the Renaissance, along with releasing press releases on violent extremism. It is our objective to continue providing, building and extending those types of services.

We are confident that the best method for countering the dangers of extremism and radicalization is education. Extremist ideology is rooted in the teachings of a few radical thinkers. Exposing these people and their ideas and demonstrating their non-compliance with genuine Islamic teachings is not difficult. And with this knowledge, we hope to inoculate Muslims from the influences of those who seek to propagate aberrant ideologies in the name of Islam.
