Introduction
Memphis Dawah Association has been a steadfast pillar in Whitehaven—a community rich in culture, faith, and resilience. For over 15 years, we've served more than 50,000 residents through mobile food pantries, vocational training, youth mentoring, and Islamic education.
What Is a Kulliye?
Our model is rooted in the Islamic tradition of a Kulliye—a community complex that unites faith, service, and education. Our campuses across Whitehaven are living embodiments of this legacy.

Founded in 2010, Memphis Dawah Association began as a community radio project and grew into a multi-service organization supporting Whitehaven’s underserved families.
- 2010: Dawah radio launch
- 2013: First community food pantry
- 2016: Youth apprenticeship program started
- 2019: Launch of urban farming initiativeprenticeship program started
- 2022: Multi-property Kulliye expansion
